Well, it’s a year on after I received the big gong. This time last year I was celebrating my award of 2014 Australian Professional Commercial Photographer of the Year.
It was a real honour to be awarded the 2014 Australian Professional Commercial Photographer of the Year title at the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA’s). The icing in the cake is that I was voted to receive this by some very esteemed senior judges, many of whom have had long and illustrious careers in professional photography.
The portfolio of images I entered into the awards were a mix of a corporate portrait and industrial warehouse sites. It was important for me to enter these two different types of images into the commercial category as they represent the majority of my work these days. To enter the commercial category, the images must have been commissioned by a client. So they are real working images not just work photographed for the awards.
The awards are just about here for this year and I’m hoping it will be another great year.
See below for my portfolio that won me the 2014 Australian Professional Commercial Photographer of the Year.
I was commissioned to photograph Gladesville and it’s surrounds for a new property development about to to begin construction in Gladesville. Being local, I obviously had a good idea of what the area has to offer. Below are a few images from this very early morning shoot, which is a beautiful time to be up and about. By 9am though, I had felt like I’d done a full days work already!
